I've been using the Monat system for over two months now, and I've also tried a sample of the Monat Replenish Masque. The sample lasted me for three separate treatments over two weeks, and I think I've formed some pretty solid opinions on it.
So, my progress has continued with exclusive use of the Monat products. My hair is still growing - I'm at the point where I have all those awkward baby hairs cropping up all over my head and I just look like a poorly maintained Chia pet. My baby hairs seem to be about two inches long in some places, which means that I've seen growth of approximately 1-2" in just two months. My hair is getting longer at the ends as well, and isn't breaking off. It's very well conditioned and it has maintained, if not increased, in thickness because of the complete absence of breakage. When I look at the ends of my hair I see ZERO split ends. And I mean, I'm never one to have a lot of split ends, but I can always see them and the more I see, typically the sooner I need to go for a haircut. Well, it's been three months since my last haircut and there is not a split end in sight. So I'm not sure what kind of black magic they've worked into these bottles, but I'm starting to feel a little bit... obsessed?

Upon my first application and use of the Replenish Masque, I was entirely underwhelmed. My hair isn't particularly dry or dehydrated, so I feel like the Revitalize conditioner suits my needs really well. In fact, I didn't notice any improvement or differences after using the masque the first time. The second time I used the masque was maybe three days later, and I saw an improvement in the feeling of my hair upon drying. It seemed tamed, yet voluminous. It was incredibly silky soft. Today, I washed my hair and put the masque in for 15 minutes as per usual, and WOW. My hair is so soft, so manageable, so fluffy (but in only the best of ways). I feel like I might be a believer now.
I haven't bit the bullet on trying other products yet because I don't want to start an obsession. Literally, that's the main reason I haven't driven my car off the Monat cliff yet. And everything is so freaking expensive... that's the other huge drawback. Canadian prices, even with the VIP membership, you're looking at a minimum of $38 per product. That all being said, the products do last a long time. And to be honest, I think I could've squeezed another one to two uses out of the Replenish Masque sample, had I been more conservative in my application.

My scalp is still itchy - every 3-4 days it gets really itchy and there's a ton of dry skin scaling off my scalp (not dandruff, I have to itch it for the dead skin to come off) I'm gonna attribute this to Alberta's cold snaps, but I'm not mad about an itchy scalp every 3 to 4 days instead of daily discomfort and itchiness.
Hair growth is outstanding and impressive. Hair condition is... amazing, addictive, enviable. Scalp condition deserves a gold star. Volume is next level, especially for someone who's struggled with volume all her life - I haven't thought about using a volume product in my hair for weeks. These products alone have virtually eliminated my need for any other products in my hair care and styling routines. Occasionally I have need for a hairspray or dry shampoo, but that's pretty much it. Yikes, the more I talk about Monat, the more I feel like they're onto something here... and that maybe I should get on board, haha.
Other than that, there isn't much else to update you guys on. Except for the fact that I'm becoming a little fanatical in my mind... Like, I feel like I should just share my bottles with everyone I know, and yet, I want to keep them for myself because I couldn't imagine using anything else now. If you're interested in checking out Monat, I can put you in contact with one of the girls I know who sells it, and she is not one of those aggressive, crazy sales ladies we all know and don't love.
Once again, I feel like I need to preface this by saying... you can't use these products occasionally or in conjunction with your other products and see results. You need to use them exclusively for an extended period of time - you're looking at (baseline) of two to three months at least before you can form an adequate opinion as to how they work on you. Don't expect to get a sample from your local distributor and your hair will just shoot out of your skull and you'll be like Rapunzel in two days. No. You'll notice softer, smoother hair after a wash or two, but real results will take legit time and commitment. You've been warned.
